Iris BarterREBURNPassed away peacefully, after a short illness, in her sleep on 20th June 2024 at home, aged 90 years.

Devoted wife of Michael. Loving mother of Andrew, Nigel and Lisa. Special mother-in-law to Alison and Tracy and grandmother of James, Emma, George and Joe. Dearly loved sister of Ed and Thelma.

As per her wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. She felt deeply for her friends and didn't want to burden them with yet another farewell. Instead, a private family gathering will be held to honour her memory. We cherish the love and moments shared, and she will forever remain in our hearts.

She wished for no grand final rite, No gathering under solemn light. "Too many farewells," she softly said, "Let memories, not tears, be spread."

Family flowers only please, donations if desired for Macmillan Nurses Fund may be left online at wcpltd.com All enquiries to Walter C. Parson Crownhill, PL6 5DY Tel: 01752 767676

Iris and Michael were so supportive to many, and especially to my late wife Monica Niven, nee Turner.

Iris was a lovely lady, gracious, kind and courageous. She was genuinely interested in everyone, and will be so sadly missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with Lisa and Phil, and all her family.
God Bless Iris
Much love
